Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Click the Sign Up button, select your role (Freelancer or Company), and fill in your details. You'll receive a verification email shortly.

What documents do I need to verify my account?

For freelancers: Government ID, portfolio samples, and proof of residence. For companies: Business registration, tax ID, and company website.

How long does verification take?

Most accounts are verified within 24-48 hours. You'll receive an email notification once your account is verified.

Projects & Proposals

How do I post a project as a company?

Go to your dashboard, click "New Project", describe your project, set your budget and timeline, and publish. Freelancers will start submitting proposals.

Can I send a proposal to a specific freelancer?

Yes! When posting a project, you can set it as "Invite Only" and send it to specific freelancers you've found on the platform.

What happens if I don't accept any proposals?

You can close the project and reopen it later, or modify the project details and extend the deadline for more proposals.

Payments & Billing

How are payments handled?

Payments are securely held in escrow until the project is completed and approved. Both parties confirm, then payment is released to the freelancer.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept mobile money (MTN, Airtel), bank transfers, and credit/debit cards. Local payment methods make transactions easy in Uganda.

Are there any fees?

BizLink charges a 10% platform fee on completed projects. This covers escrow management, dispute resolution, and support services.

Account Management

How do I update my profile?

Go to your profile settings, click "Edit Profile", make your changes, and save. Updates are reflected immediately.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, you can delete your account from settings. Active projects will be cancelled, and pending payments will be settled.

How do I reset my password?

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page, enter your email, and follow the instructions sent to your inbox.
